Texas A&M Law Members to Present at Houston-Area Family Violence Event
Texas A&M Law will support the Texas Council on Family Violence (TCFV) and Houston Area Women's Center (HAWC) for their upcoming 2024 Family Violence Fundraiser. The event directly supports both nonprofits and their missions to create safer communities and freedom from family violence.
Two members of the law school will participate in the event alongside appearances from attorneys and Houston-area officials. Dean Robert B. Ahdieh will provide remarks while Karon Rowden, Texas A&M Family and Veterans Advocacy Clinic Director, will serve as a panelist in a discussion on family violence and trauma.
Other event organizers include Tom King Mediations, Texas Justice Center in Houston, and Walters Gilbreath, PLLC.
The Family Violence Fundraiser will be held on January 11, 2024, at the Texas Justice Center in Bellaire, TX. Registration is required and seating is limited to 500 attendees. Attendees can earn 4.0 hours of CLE hours with ethics.
