Choose Which Texas A&M Law School Application Is Right For You

We’re thrilled that you’re considering Texas A&M Law for your legal education! No matter which degree program you’re considering, we’ll guide you through the process to make it as easy as possible. Choose the path that’s right for you.

Juris Doctor (JD)

Our world-class JD program is intended for those who want to practice law and who have or are obtaining a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. This path includes prospective first-year law students, visiting and transfer students, and Aggie Direct students. We accept applications beginning in August of each year, and we review applications on a rolling basis until May of the following year.

Master Of Laws (LLM)

Our LLM program primarily serves two types of students: Those who hold a JD or equivalent degree from a non-U.S. law school and plan on sitting for the Bar Examination and lawyers who want to specialize in a particular area of law. There are six tracks, including online options, each requiring 24 credit hours. With cohorts beginning in the fall, spring, and summer, application deadlines are in August, January, and May of each year.

Master of Legal Studies (MLS)

Geared toward degreed, non-lawyer professionals who work in highly regulated or complex industries, the Master of Legal Studies provides specialized legal training for those who don’t plan on practicing law but would benefit from knowledge of the law. Our online, 30-credit MLS is designed for working professionals or recent college graduates seeking a master’s degree to advance within their profession or industry.
